My REFLECTIONS of
2015
REALIZING MY/OUR
POTENTIAL!
Arriving at 2016, I am so thankful and happy of the
awakening of MyPhysio FiCoMo Specialist Centre! It is a milestone of my dream
and VISION – Raising the level of Physiotherapists to impact everyone!
Since the 1990’s when I first began my baby steps as a
physio, I always believed that there were 3 main roles a physiotherapist should
have in their thinking and actions. They are the roles as a Clinician, Educator
and Researcher to keep this profession on the road of PROGRESS. When I decided
to be a physiotherapist at 16 years old, I never looked back on this journey of
my passion and I am thankful for all the experiences (good and not so good) I learnt
from. I am especially grateful to the wonderful physios, patients and people
that taught me about life and the value of living….that reminded me to keep
overcoming the challenges with the vision and the passion.
I kept pressing on to learn, grow and love…, I never stopped
dreaming of trying to find new ways to impact my loved ones, my patients and
people in healthcare strategies for a greater Well-Being with the platform of
Physiotherapy Strategies!
The last year of 2015 has been a highly pressured time for
me BUT has been so crucial for me to further REALIZE (Make Real) my potential.
It has consolidated much of my thinking and believes for the past 8 years to
what has awakened today through MyPhysio FiCoMo Specialist Centre! We at
MyPhysio FiCoMo Specialist Centre believe that Physiotherapists are MOVEMENT Specialists!
Have you ever defined or taken some time to think through on
what it means to be a Specialist of MOVEMENT? How does one begin an assessment
of a patient as a Movement Specialist? How does one view structural influence
in their treatment strategies as a MOVEMENT Specialist?
I have taken 8 years
of relooking at many believes and thinking I had and have redefined many ideas
and understanding, and since 2008…I have invested much of my time and financials
to travel abroad to the USA & Europe to be among the physios, chiros and
osteopaths to see how everyone of us had different ideas on the elements of
structure, movement and function. I began to integrate my understanding and
believes on being a MOVEMENT Specialist with the Bio-psychosocial Model of Well-Being.
In MyPhysio FiCoMo, we BEGIN all or patients and client’s
journey to a better and healthier life with Movement CARE. When we are
empowered with the ART of Movement CARE, we will then be able to progress to
Power in Movement PERFORMANCE. And we keep pushing ourselves to NEW WAYS of
Movement Performance to PROGRESS to Wisdom in Movement INTELLIGENCE!
I am excited for 2016 as it is the beginning of our journey
in this new PHASE of Progress. I would like to encourage all physios out there
to be courageous to DREAM, Chase the DREAM and Empower people with your DREAM.
Be Courageous, Be Responsible, Be Wise and Be PATIENT & POSITIVE because
the SUCCESS JOURNEY is a PROCESS.
Happy New Year to ALL!
Love,
Yi Lin

Happy New Year!
As we look forward for better
achievements in the year to come, I am enjoying the fruits that we reaped in
2015. It was an amazing journey for me to be certified as a Dynamic Neuromuscular
Stabilization (DNS) Practitioner from the Prague School of Rehabilitation,
Czech republic.
Being a physiotherapist, it is
important for us to continually keep ourselves updated with the current approaches
that are available. Being up to date, we are able to provide better quality
services and improve the quality of life for our clients especially for those
who are in need. Break through results and good testimonials from my clients
strengthened our core achievements from “impossible to possible”. Our treatment
approach is no stranger in Malaysia anymore since MyPhysio organized the course
in October 2015 successfully with good response.
I look forward to provide our
expertise in years to come and we strongly believe this approach will bring joy
and love to people.
